Indeed Messiah did give us a map, a timeline. It’s a great loss for the end-time saints that Pastors such as John Barnett are oblivious about where we’re at on the Revelation timeline!
The truth is that most of the prophecies in Revelation have already been fulfilled during the last 1,900 years, as the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom have fought against Messiah and His saints. The pagan Roman Emperors tried to wipe out the early church, killing millions. The Roman Popes banned and burned the Scriptures and caused tens of millions of saints to be killed during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition. These are the things that Messiah is pointing to in His apocalyptic vision.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries Points to falling away in end times from the true faith.
There is a falling away from truth in the end times, especially regarding prophecy fulfillment, as the enemy has deceived most believers.
The falling away of 2 Thessalonians 2, that the Apostle Paul warned about, was fulfilled in the 4th century; when after hundreds of years of persecution, many of the saints fell away from the true faith, and apostatized, compromising their beliefs to join with Rome.
Roman Christianity is based on the worship of pagan gods, primarily the sun god; which is why Sunday became the first day of the week, and why the Roman Catholic Church has so many sun symbols, such as an Egyptian obelisk in the middle of St. Peter’s Square.

The concept of a pre-trib rapture is based on a futuristic 70th week of Daniel, but that is a deception to fool the end times saints. The 70th week of Daniel 9 prophecy foretold when Messiah would appear to carry out His ministry, and when (in the middle of the 70th week) He would confirm the everlasting covenant (that was mentioned in Daniel 9:4) with His blood as the Passover Lamb, to atone for our sins. It’s not about the end times or the antichrist.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries teaches that the seals, trumpets and bowls are fulfilled during great tribulation.
The seals describe the decline of the Roman Empire from bloody civil wars, economic strife, famine, pestilence and death. The trumpet judgments describe army after army being sent to attack the Roman Empire, which led to its fall in 1453 AD. This was their punishment for killing millions of Messiahs saints during ten persecution periods and for revering false gods. The bowl judgments are against the antichrist beast Popes and their harlot church of Rome.

Any teacher who is basing their explanation of Revelation on the concept of a future 70th week of Daniel 9, the 7-year tribulation period, is misleading you. The false concept of a 7-year tribulation period is based on the 70-weeks of Daniel 9 prophecy.
The prophecy foretold when Messiah would appear to carry out His ministry, and when (in the middle of the 70th week) He would confirm the (everlasting) covenant (that was mentioned in Daniel 9:4) with His blood as the Passover Lamb, to atone for our sins. This is true, but John Barnett fails to understand who ‘Israel is, and blindly applies it to the Jews in Zionist Israel.
Read Romans 9 and 11 and you see that a true Israelite is one who has a covenant relationship with the Father through the Son. The true nation of Israel is made up of believing Jews and gentiles, who in Revelation 20 is called Holy Jerusalem. And the enemy has relentlessly made war with the Ekklesia of Messiah.

Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries teaches a futuristic fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9, the Olivet Discourse and the prophecies in Revelation.
The Olivet Discourse foretold the events that would lead to the desolation of Jerusalem, the second temple and the Jewish nation; as punishment for the Jewish leaders continuing in rebellion against the Heavenly Father and for delivering His Son up to be killed. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
The explanations of Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries serve to deflect blame away from the enemy in Rome, and to mislead the end-times saints so that they’re not prepared for how the end-times will play out, and don’t know the context of Messiah’s return.
